After seeing the messageon the front page, I deceided to create a LoreMaster during my alt play time last night. To sum up my feelings about the class during after playing it to almost level 11 is that this a very fun class to play.

This is the first character that I've played this far with no defeats...and I wsn't pussy footing around trying to avoid dying. I wanted to test this class so willingly took on Orange conned mobs and mobs in sizes up to 4, all done solo.

The LM can handle a crowd. Once, I trained the bird on one mob, stunned another and beat a third while keepig the pet healed on his mob. After beating mine, I finished the bird's mob off then we both handled the stunned one. All were Blue conned Blackwolds.

I tested every skill thru level 11 and obviously some are more useful than others but found none to be wasted skills that sit unused in the rack. While hving a very powerful heal spell, the recycle time is a bit to long too substitute for the heals of a minstrel or captain in group play.

The power drain spell is absolutely awesome. Even though it is long in duration, I used that frequently to fatally weaken the Orange cons while the pet persistently pecked them to death.

What most amazed me was that situations that Gorwin could not handle at this level, the LM handled with panache and ease. I would love to see what this guy as he progresses into the 20's and 30's with groups as well as solo. I am seriously impressed by the LM's capabilities and look forward to seeing more LM mains in the kinship.

Anyway, I see absolutely no reason to shelve this character and will be seeking a kinship invite for him. Except for the Epic questline, he's done most of the available quests in Archet, Combe and Saddle. Because I am more or less power-leveling this guy, I don't take quests when they've turned light blue, green or grey. I am focusing him on White, Yellow and Orange quests so that the time invested will lead to faster level.

The character name is GORLAHN from Breeland and he look's forward to felllowshipping with you guys real soon.

Great LM impressions. The only thing keeping me away from trying one is the way they look. My own personal taste. When I think of playing in the LoTR universe, the Riders of the Riddermark come to mind, or the knights of Gondor. Dwarven warriors and elf warriors are right up there too. Playing a collector of lore doesn't really compete for me smile

My own personal tastes aside, I agree that LMs are great to have in fellowships.

LM's can look however you choose as long as you are content with Light Armor. Gorlahn is dressed like a Hunter instead of wearing the scholarly looking clothes you see on many of the LM's. Unlike Guild Wars where the class is assigned specific clothing forever, you do have a lot more flexibility with appearances in LOTRO.
